Like so many women, I thought my intelligence and hard work would naturally lead to more clients, more money, and an amazing life.<\/p>\n

I was wrong about that. Big dreams are wonderful, but a dream is not a plan. (I learned this the expensive way.)<\/p>\n

In 2006, I left my job as a brand manager at L'Or\u00e9al Paris, MBA from Kellogg in hand, absolutely certain I was going to crush it. (I most definitely did not crush it.\ud83d\ude29)<\/p>\n

Within a year, I was $25,000 in debt<\/strong>, launching offers that flopped, and running my business from my friends' couches.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Here's what I finally figured out: I had no plan<\/strong>. No big-picture understanding of how the pieces of a business actually fit together, and honestly, no clue what order to do any of it in.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So I built the very first version of what I now call my Peaceful Profit Plan<\/strong>. It wasn't pretty, and back then it was a lot more profit than peace, but for the first time I could see how every piece of my business fit together and exactly what to do in what order. I paid off the debt within 12 months, and doubled or tripled my income nearly every year after<\/strong>. Turns out a plan beats a pep talk.\ud83d\ude44<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

But here's what took me years to learn: that first plan made me money, and it also ran me straight into the ground. <\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

I was forcing, hustling, and white-knuckling my way to every goal, and it cost me my health. So I spent the next decade-plus rebuilding it into something that creates the money without the burnout.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

That's the Peaceful Profit System\u2122.

Today, I run Revenue Breakthrough, a 7-figure company I've led for over 16 years, teaching women to build businesses that fund the lives they actually want.<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

I crossed 7 figures in 2013 and have stayed there ever since. I've now guided thousands of entrepreneurs<\/strong>, from their very first client to multiple six- and seven-figure incomes in 12 to 18 months.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The impressive-on-paper part:<\/span> I hold an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. I'm a former brand manager at L'Or\u00e9al Paris and a recovering entrepreneurship professor from New York City. I've written three books: Getting Rich: You're Doing It Backwards, PAUSE: 52 Questions That Lead to More Money and Time<\/em>, and The Breakthrough Planner<\/em>. And I'm based in Brooklyn, New York, powered largely by matcha lattes and a very organized calendar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

But perhaps the aspect I'm most proud of:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

I run that 7-figure business on about 30 hours a week. Which means my life still has room in it for long dinners at my favorite restaurants, daily somatic dance breaks (I now teach somatic dance as a part of my business teachings), travel, time with my dad, and for my husband, Jaideep, who is an excellent vacation buddy and fellow foodie (to say the least).<\/p>\n
