When I started my business
When I started my business, even though I had an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and had been a successful marketing manager for L’Oréal – I simply didn’t know how to put all that experience to good use in my own business.
My desire for perfection, hammered into me in the corporate world, prevented me from getting anything done in a timely manner. I would make a decision and then second-guess myself for months. I worked on my first free gift for 4 weeks when it should have taken 4 hours.
And I was so confused about what to do and how to do it – so I just tried one random thing after another. But my months were capped somewhere between $3,000 – $5,000 and I couldn’t seem to get beyond that ceiling.
I was totally committed to my business, and I had already decided I never wanted to go back and get a job. I had to figure this pesky money thing out.

Q: “What if I’m not sure if I can take 2 full days off? Isn’t it easier to spread this out over a long course?”
A: To be honest, this question always surprises me. In my own business, I ALWAYS choose the shorter, more intensive option – because you get SO much more done in a shorter amount of time… and then implement faster.
Because, if a class is dripped over 6 weeks, then you can really only implement it all 6 weeks from now AFTER you’ve learned all the information in the program. Which means you’re not only delaying your ability to make income, but you’re spending MORE time to draw out a strategy and process that COULD have been done in a weekend.
