When I first started Revenue Breakthrough, my coach would invite me to the mic at her events, to share about my business.
After these shares (which were never any longer than 3 minutes), I would have to go up to my hotel room to do EFT (tapping) on myself for at least 30 minutes, just to calm myself down. Because the voices in my head were going wild, saying things like, “You did it wrong! You said the wrong thing! Nobody wanted to hear that!”
And the first video I filmed for my business was a trainwreck.
I was too scared to look at the camera, and I couldn’t remember my content. So my husband had to ask me questions off to the side, and I only looked at him, pretending the camera wasn’t there.
Since those days, I’ve done over a thousand events, both virtual and in-person. (And many of those events are 3 full days of being on stage or on camera the entire time!)
I started as a first-generation Indian woman who was taught to take up as little space as possible.
