Permission to Relax – YOUR Way
We’re all so busy this week, running around trying to catch up with the holiday season, take care of family, and make preparations to shut down our businesses for the holidays.
So I’ll make this one quick: I want to give you permission to really take care of yourself and relax at some point over the next two weeks.
Now, the reason that I am pointing this out so specifically is because what one person needs to relax is very different from what another person needs to relax.
Some of us are more introverted and we require a quiet, long, hot bath to really be able to gain our energy back and feel alive. Others are more extroverted and love the company of friends and family and lively conversations.
A lot of us, well, we live somewhere in between.
Over the holiday season, so many of my clients’ calendars end up bursting with all kinds of parties and get-togethers and family occasions – which means there isn’t really space for intentional rest.
It’s so important to take the time to ask yourself – what do I need to do in order to get the rest that I need right now? I want to give you permission to do just that.
Take however much time you can during this next two-week period – three hours, five hours, a full day or two, or a week – and really give yourself the chance to rest in whatever way works for you.
Block it out in your calendar, and be intentional about it – because before you know it, January will be here, and we’ll be up and running. We want to make sure that your body gets the rest that it needs now so that you can feel your best when it’s time to get back to work.
So with that, happy holidays! And don’t forget – you’ve got permission to rest, to relax and to do it in a way that really suits and is completely aligned with you.
