The $100K math no one teaches you
The other day one of my clients had a full-body “wait a second” moment. She realized that if she created a $5,000 program, she would only need 20 clients to make her next $100,000.
She looked at me wide-eyed and said, “Wait…that’s it? Just 20?”
Yes. Just 20.
Not 200. Not an army of 2,000 Instagram followers who all somehow decide to buy your $47 e-book on the same day. Not a decade of trying to “go viral.”
Just 20 real human beings saying yes.
This is the shift most entrepreneurs never make. They think more money means more people. More posts. More discounts. More low-ticket offers. More, more, more.
And then they wake up burned out, wondering why their 97-dollar offer hasn’t gotten them to six figures yet.
Here’s the truth: premium programs are the foundation of a business that actually works.
Let me break it down:
- The math is cleaner.
200 clients at $500 = $100,000.
20 clients at $5,000 = $100,000.
Which equation do you want to live inside? The one that feels like a hamster wheel, or the one that feels like a straight path? - You work less (for real).
Premium clients don’t just pay more, they renew more. They stick around. They buy again. They tell their friends. Which means you spend less time hunting for the next sale and more time delivering transformation. - The clients show up differently.
When someone invests at a premium level, they are not ghosting you because their cat got stuck in the laundry basket. They are committed. They do the work. They value your time. And you get the satisfaction of working with clients who actually want to change.
Now, I can hear you thinking: “Okay Monica, but how do I even create a premium program?”
It’s not about taking what you already do and slapping a fancy price tag on it.
Here’s what a true premium offer needs:
- A problem your client desperately wants solved. Not a “nice to have,” but a “please fix this now.”
- A pathway you can guide them through. It can be your unique process, but it has to be clear enough that you can say, “Follow me, I know the way.”
- Support structures that feel like luxury, not like overwork. Premium doesn’t mean 24/7 access. It means the right mix of accountability, community, and resources so clients feel supported without draining you dry.
- Messaging that matches the value. If you’re going to charge $5,000, your words need to paint the picture of why that transformation is worth it.
Quick exercise:
Grab a piece of paper. Write down your current main offer and price. Then do the math:
- How many clients would you need at that price to make $100K?
- Now, what if you charged $5,000?
Take a deep breath. Notice the difference in your body. That shift you just felt? That’s the power of premium.
And here’s the kicker: once you start thinking this way, you will never look at your business the same again.
That’s exactly what I’ll be teaching in my upcoming free training, where I’ll show you how to design and enroll clients into premium programs that work in today’s market.
