Like Nails on a Chalkboard – The Price of Indecision
Indecision grates at your mind like nails on a chalkboard.
Just that sentence alone is enough to make you wince, even look away – but it gets at the very truth of what so many of us go through every single day.
Today I am teaching Day 2 of the Bold Visibility Bootcamp.
And one of the biggest problems I see around creating videos and Lives is they don’t call out to an individual person – so they end up being vague, general, uninteresting pieces of information that get ignored.
But so many are afraid to make a decision – to pick ONE group of people you are speaking to and solve ONE problem.
Or pick ONE business and focus on it until you really get known in that industry or area.
I know it’s not easy to choose. But I also know it’s not easy to NOT choose. Because when your attention is scattered, you inch forward when you could be running.
And inching forward is downright exhausting.
Moving forward slower than you’d like becomes a heavy burden to bear year after year. Over time you lose your confidence, your sense of self and your faith.
Most don’t realize that the cost of NOT deciding is much heavier than the cost of making one decision today that you could always change tomorrow.
So if you are in the space of hearing those nails on a chalkboard, or splitting your time between multiple businesses, or multiple markets, and you can sense you might be ready to get off the fence, now’s the time.
Of course, there are some of you out there who will handle two businesses or two markets well – so this advice isn’t for everyone.
But if you know you should be farther along. And you’re not quite clear why – it may be time to decide.
That peaceful silence in your head will be the ultimate reward.
