Stillness Is the New Power Move

Stillness is the new Power Move. Busy is the New Lazy.

Yes, I said it.

I know, I know. You just came off a long weekend. Maybe you grilled. Maybe you napped. Maybe you finally sat still for longer than 10 minutes and remembered what your own thoughts sound like without your phone glued to your hand.

And now it’s Wednesday. You’re staring at a post-Memorial Day mountain of emails, Slack pings, client messages, and that one task you’ve been avoiding since February.

But before you dive back into the tornado of productivity…

Let me gently, and lovingly, remind you of something:

You have a choice.

You can treat the stillness of the long weekend like a brief indulgence…

Or you can make space for it to become a lifestyle. A strategy. A non-negotiable.

Because here’s the truth:

Busy is easy.

Busy is comfortable.

Busy lets you avoid the real questions stillness forces you to ask.

Questions like:

Is this business model really working for me?

Why am I so drained even when I’m “doing all the right things”?

What do I actually want next?

We fill every pause with scrolling, snacking, binge-watching, “urgent” tasks, anything but being with ourselves. (Ask me how many times I’ve organized my book shelf instead of sitting with my feelings. The answer is: too many.)

But here’s what shifted everything for me…

I started taking silent walks at the start and end of my workday. No podcasts. No calls. No music. Just me, my thoughts, and the very loud squirrel who lives on my block (seriously, it’s like he’s yelling at me).

And that’s when it happened.

The ideas got clearer.

The decisions got easier.

The money came faster, because I was no longer leaking energy everywhere.

Stillness isn’t just a spiritual practice. It’s a performance strategy.

It’s the antidote to the pressure. The doorway to your intuition. The thing your business has secretly been craving.

So if the long weekend gave you even a taste of peace…

Let’s not treat that as a vacation.

Let’s treat it as a blueprint for how your business could actually feel.

Every week.

This isn’t about burning it all down or escaping to Bali.

It’s about tuning in, tapping in, and reimagining how you want to work, earn, and be, from a place of ease and alignment.

Because the truth is:

Stillness is not the opposite of success.

It’s the soil it grows in.

If you’re feeling behind this week, that’s not a sign you need to hustle harder, it’s a sign your system needs a reset.

If you’d like to learn how to include your spiritual guides and do it in a fully supported way, I invite you to check out my SoulSpeak Business Collective — we start again in August and it’s the perfect way to reset and realign so that you can have a business that’s both soulful and abundant.
