Weekends, Worry Time, & the Wheel of Fortune

I’ve found that when I have down time over the weekend, it can easily turn into worry time.

I tend to push anxieties aside when I’m busy during the work week… but then on weekends, if I have more space (even if it’s just space for a longer shower or to make a big breakfast), it means more space for the worries and anxieties to creep in.

When that happens, I get upset. I’m supposed to be spending quality time doing something else – something for me, or enjoying breakfast with my husband – and here I am, trying to “control” the future of my business in my head.

I know it doesn’t work. And I’ve done enough personal growth training to know that I should be managing the stress or doing something else.

But it’s hard.

One of my favorite strategies for managing this is choosing a card in the Tarot deck that helps me embody a different way of being.

One of my favorite cards to use here is the Wheel of Fortune card. The Wheel of Fortune card serves as a reminder that the wheel of life will keep turning regardless of your attempts to control it.

The best place for you to be is actually in the center of the wheel allowing it to turn, not trying to hold onto the edges to stop it or control it.

Sometimes, we need to reposition ourselves in this way when we think about our businesses. Rather than mentally rehashing the same thoughts over and over again, straining against the wheel, it helps to remember that we can only control so much.

On weekends when I use the Tarot cards to help me get out of worry time, I think of this as embodying the card – taking on the energy or characteristics of that card’s lesson in order to shift my way of being in that moment.

I’ll be teaching this process with my five favorite Tarot Archetypes for businesses in my brand-new program Grow Your Business Peacefully & Profitably with Tarot

This is a four-week program starting June 12 designed to help you grow your business faster by trusting your inner voice, making better decisions, and unlocking new pathways to success.

Over the course of these four workshops (which will be recorded and made available afterwards), you’ll delve deeper into the five Archetypes with empowering exercises, seek guidance through Tarot card pulls, and create your own Tarot Manifesto to keep using the Archetypes for peace and profit.

Tarot has been one of my favorite success strategies for the past 20 years, and I’m so excited to share it with you now.
