That Moment When All I Could Feel Was Doubt

Are you feeling full of doubt in 2023?

It was 2014 and I had crossed seven figures, but I still felt so much discomfort.

There were constant voices in my head that asked, “Am I going to fill the room for my big event?” “What happens if a client doesn’t like me, or a client doesn’t hit their goals?”

I couldn’t settle into the success that I had created. I wasn’t sleeping well. I was eating too much sugar. It was hard to let myself relax.

The business part of my life had been upgraded – but my fears and beliefs were still playing at the same level as when I was at the beginning of my business.

At the time, I was in the process of filling a three-day event. Our goal was 250 people – but getting people to register felt like pulling teeth. We got up to 140 people… and then in one week, about 60 people canceled their registrations, telling us they had other plans.

It felt so unfair – it was all going to flop, and we’d already invested over $90,000 into the event. I was an emotional basket case and full of doubt.

But I’d also been doing spiritual work for years at this point – so I realized there could be no other explanation than that I was causing this. On some deep level, I was pushing people away.

I started working with a spiritual teacher and realized I was carrying the belief that if I spoke in a room of more than 200 people, I would be unsafe. And so – any time we got even close to 200, people would start backing out.

From there, I started clearing beliefs around being seen. That it had to be hard work to be seen. That people wouldn’t like me if they really saw me. That people wouldn’t relate to me if I was successful.

In the end, that became the first big event where I truly felt open and connected with people. I wasn’t standing onstage in a place of fear – I was standing in openness. I released all doubt. We ended up getting some of our best clients at that event – ones that stayed with us for years.

You see – most people believe that just working harder will bring more flow, momentum, and success – and for some, it does.

But most of us have to go deeper than that. We need to look at what I call the three Flow Factors.

These three elements, when out of balance, can create total chaos. But when you work to align them – they can create not just success, but ease and flow.

The three Flow Factors are:
Attention: where you aim your focus when you’re putting energy out into the world
Action: what you’re doing
Coding: the beliefs and programs behind it all

After more than 13 years of working with people, I’ve also pinned down four Friction Areas – places where entrepreneurs really get stuck.

The Friction Areas are:
Money
Visibility
Sales
Team

So here’s the secret: when you align the Flow Factors – attention, action, and coding – in each of the Friction Areas – money, visibility, sales, and team – voilà! You have so much more ease and flow.

For me, the area of friction was visibility. When I finally looked at the coding and attention behind my actions, my event started filling up. And, more importantly, my fear and doubts started to dissolve.

If you are having trouble in any of these four areas of your business, I invite you to ask yourself:

What am I focusing on?
What actions am I taking?
What beliefs do I have?

I have to admit, this isn’t easy to do alone. That’s why I created my upcoming event: the Money Flow Experience

At the Money Flow Experience, we’ll be diving deep into aligning the three factors that eliminate friction and create flow: attention, action, and coding. We will help you release the doubt. You’ll also fill out a Bigger Vision Map to refer to over and over again after the event as you take your business to the next level.

This is truly an experience that you’ll leave as a changed person, feeling clear and ready for your next big business vision.
