The Power of Questions

“The quality of your questions determines the quality of your life.” – Tony Robbins

I believe asking questions is the key to having a higher quality of life. The truth is that most of us have forgotten how to ask real questions because we’re uncomfortable receiving real guidance.

There’s something that happens when you ask a question. The question literally pierces through all of your subconscious beliefs, your resistance, your worry places – and actually lands. Your entire mind then works to figure out the answer. And then – you get a solution.

This very notion has literally transformed my life in such a major way. I use questions all the time. I write them on index cards and place them around the house. On my kitchen counter, there’s a card that says, “How could I be more healthy today?” This card has helped many a cookie craving turn into an apple craving (sometimes followed by the cookie – but hey, who’s perfect?).

On my bedroom door there’s a sign that says, “How can I create more time today?” This one helps me to delegate or delete stuff on my to-do list.

And the best part is that your mind works on these questions subconsciously. So sometimes when I pose a question in the morning, the answer comes in the afternoon, the evening or over the next few days. It’s pretty awesome. There is power in questions.

Write down 5 struggles you are having in your business or your life right now.

Now take each struggle – and turn it into a question that starts with – How Do I?

Here are some examples:

I’m just not making enough money. How do I make more money?

I’ve gained five pounds. How do I lose five pounds?

I need a new assistant. How do I find a new assistant?

Let me know how I can help you turn your struggles into questions in the comments below.
